Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026

Dotti does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

The short version

  • We do not collect any personal information.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not require an account, email, or login.
  • We do not transmit your data to any server — including our own.
  • All your data lives only on your device, in iOS's local storage.

What data Dotti uses (and where it stays)

Dotti stores a small amount of information locally on your device so that the app can remember your progress between sessions:

  • The name you optionally provide during onboarding
  • Your completed focus sessions and their durations
  • Your current and best focus streaks
  • Your task names and history
  • Your app preferences (selected duration, sound settings, etc.)

This data is stored using iOS's standard UserDefaults mechanism. It is never transmitted off your device, never sent to Apple, and never shared with us or any third party. If you uninstall Dotti, this data is removed.

Permissions Dotti may request

Reminders. Dotti can optionally read items from your iOS Reminders app, so you can pick an existing reminder as the task for your focus session. This access is read-only and used purely to show you a list of your reminders inside Dotti. Your reminders are never copied, transmitted, or stored by Dotti — they stay in iOS Reminders. You can grant or revoke this permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders.

Dotti does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, calendar, health data, or any other sensitive information.

Tracking

Dotti does not track you across other apps or websites and does not share any identifier (such as the iOS Advertising Identifier) with anyone. There is no need for the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt because nothing is tracked.

Children's privacy

Dotti is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any information at all, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). Parents and guardians can use the app with confidence.

Third parties

Dotti does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or marketing SDKs. The only entity involved in the distribution of Dotti is Apple, through the App Store. Apple may collect its own diagnostic information per its privacy policy; that data is governed by Apple, not by us.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Dotti handles data — for example, if a future version adds a feature that genuinely requires data collection — we will update this page and note the change in the app's release notes before the new version ships. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
