Frequently asked questions
How do I start a focus session?
Open Dotti, choose a duration (5–90 minutes), enter what you'd like to focus on, and tap start. Bubbles will begin filling the screen as your session progresses.
Can I pause or end a session early?
Yes. Tap the screen during a session to access pause and end controls. Sessions ended early are still saved to your history.
How are streaks calculated?
Your streak increases by one for each calendar day you complete at least one focus session. Missing a day resets your current streak, but your best streak is always preserved.
Why doesn't the timer run when my phone is locked?
Dotti runs in the foreground while you focus. Keep the app open during your session for the most accurate experience. Your progress is saved if you switch apps briefly.
How do I turn off sound effects?
Open Settings inside the app and toggle audio feedback off.
Is my data shared or uploaded anywhere?
No. All your focus sessions, streaks, and tasks are stored locally on your device. Dotti does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
I deleted the app — can I recover my streak?
Because your data is stored only on your device, uninstalling the app removes all session history and streaks. We recommend keeping Dotti installed to preserve your progress.
What devices does Dotti support?
Dotti is designed for iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later.
Privacy
Dotti does not collect any personal information. All data — including your tasks, focus sessions, and streaks — is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server.
